Fisher-ACE97 Series Pad-Depad

The 97 Series simplifies the process of make-up and vent by combining both functions in one unit. This series is a unique, patented valve which incorporates all the standard features in our Type ACE95 Series valves. 

We Have a Better Way: Gas In - Gas Out "One Unit"

The unit consists of a single actuator that controls the entire operation. Pad (make-up) and depad (venting) are controlled by the actuator.

The diaphragm in the actuator has a long stroke. It is biased by a single range spring set that controls both pad and depad setpoints independently. These setpoints are both adjustable.

At the bottom (lower pressure) of its stroke, the diaphragm acutates the pad valve to control the flow of inert gas to the tank vapor space.

Pump out of tank contents or a drop in vapor space temperature will cause the tank pressure to drop below pad setpoint. The diaphragm will move down and actuate the pad valve. Inert gas will be throttled into the tank.

As the pressure rises to pad setpoint, the diaphragm also rises. This deactuates the pad valve and flow of inert gas ceases. Pump in or a rise in vapor space temperature will cause the tank pressure to rise. The diaphragm will move upward and when the pressure reaches the depad setpoint, it will actuate the depad pilot valve. This throttles the depad main valve, venting the tank vapor space and controlling the pressure.

Both the pad valve and depad valve are plilot controlled (except for the 1/2" body pad valve). Shut-off is tight and positive. The inert gas supply is used to operate both valves and provides a positive force against the valve seats to ensure tight shut-off. The valves are soft seated and bubble tight up to their setpoints.

Typically, the pad valve operates within a 0.5 inch water column band below its setpoint.

Type ACE95 Series Tank Blanketing Valve

Tank blanketing is the process of using a gas, such as nitrogen, to maintain a slightly positive pressure in an enclosed storage tank. Tank blanketing prevents a stored product from vaporizing into the atmosphere, reduces product combustibility, and prevents oxidation or contamination of the product by reducing its exposure to air. Tank blanketing is utilized with various products, including: adhesives, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, fertilizers, fuels, inks, photographic chemicals, and food additives.

Types ACE95 and ACE95Sr valves are self-contained, fully balanced, pilot-operated, and are used for accurate pressure control on tank blanketing systems. These valves help control emissions and provide protection against atmospheric contamination. Types ACE95 and ACE95Sr valves maintain a positive tank pressure which reduces the possibility of tank wall collapse during pump out operations, prevents stored product from vaporizing to atmosphere.

Type ACE95jr Tank Blanketing Valve

The Type ACE95jr is a direct-operated valve used for accurate pressure control on low-pressure blanketing systems. The unit is stainless steel, and actuated by a very large diaphragm actuator. Blanketing setpoint is controlled by a single adjusting screw.

The oversized actuator offers high sensitivity to changes in tank pressure, increasing accuracy. A rolling diaphragm is utilized to maintain a fully balanced main valve, insuring extremely accurate operation under all conditions. Lockup is typically less than 0.3 inches w.c. (1,2 mbar). The main valve stroke is minimal to further insure accuracy and fast response.
